Annette, I just ordered your book. Can’t wait to read it. We lived almost the seam life for a while. I was in OC doing just what you were raising 2 kids. Can’t wait to get it. Now I want to see a copy of the TJ picture.

I read the book and loved it, though I did consume quite a bit of chocolate during the first half of the book. In fact, after acquiring the habit, I continued to eat chocolate through the entirety of the book. Okay, I admit it, I just stopped typing for a second so I could munch down a bit of chocolate cake, and I’m not even broken up with anyone. Seriously though, I enjoyed your memoir and would rank it up there with Carrie Fisher’s “Wishful Drinking,” which is no small potatoes in my book – you’re in good company as a writer there. Keep the good working coming,

Cathy, congratulations on taking the steps to tell your story! I didn’t use a subsidy publisher (like iUniverse, AuthorHouse, et al.) or digital print-on-demand technology (LSI). I went the traditional route and got a wonderful NY agent who submitted it to the big publishers. Then I took back my manuscript to publish it myself as memoir, instead of chick-lit fiction (as it was shopped because of the voice and storyline). OMG…I can so relate to your story. Can’t wait to buy it…I just wrote a book as well, and it started as a journal, because I felt I have found my Mr. One turns out I wanted to pursue my dream of writing and so it began. I figured I could put all my feelings into this book and make it happen. I almost ready to publish it….would like your take on how you got published and where, if you did self publishing and source you use to print-on-demand…anyways let me know.
